Find the tutoring and enrichment services you need to supplement your homeschool curriculum, all in one place. Our caring, certified educators work with every learning type, with patient tutoring, hands-on enrichment, art classes, and photography, in small groups where no one gets overlooked.
A real lab, a real small group, a real relationship
We built the center we wished existed for our own homeschool: rigorous STEAM content, taught in person, in groups small enough that every kid gets caught when they're falling behind, or pushed when they're ready to fly.
Certified Educators
Every lead instructor is a Florida-certified teacher with a background in math, science, engineering, or business, not a curriculum reader.
Small Groups, Real Relationships
Sections are capped at eight students, so instructors know how each kid thinks, and homeschool parents get real feedback, not a progress bar.
Hands-On Learning
Every unit ends in a lab, a build, or a demo: circuits, chemistry, robotics, code, so concepts stick well past test day.
What is a day school, and what does it offer?
A day school is a place students come to on school days for real, teacher-led instruction, structured somewhere between a traditional five-day private school and schooling entirely at home. It isn't a five-day seat requirement or a full school replacement: it's a flexible, in-person home base built around your family's own homeschool plan.
Here's what that looks like in practice at SWFL STEM DAY SCHOOL:
- Weekly, small-group enrichment classes, capped at eight students, across STEM, business, fine art, and life skills
- Private one-on-one and small-group tutoring in core academic subjects
- State testing, achievement evaluations, and the annual homeschool evaluation required for PEP participants
- Certified, Florida-background-approved teachers leading every class, not a curriculum reader
- Flexible in-person, weekend, and virtual options, so you build a schedule around your family instead of the other way around
In short: you keep control of your student's homeschool plan, and we supply the certified instruction, small-group community, and structure of a school day, on the days and subjects you choose.
Virtual Day School
A full core-curriculum virtual option for homeschool students, with live, teacher-led instruction Monday through Thursday, two hours each day, in small class sizes. Covers Reading, Math, Writing, Science, and Social Studies, with structured literacy and dyslexia-friendly instruction, weekly progress monitoring, and individualized support. Curriculum and workbooks included.
Science Labs
Chemistry, biology, and physical science taught with real lab equipment and safety protocol, not simulations on a screen.
Mobile 3D Printing Lab
A mobile 3D printing lab enrichment course, bringing hands-on 3D design and printing experience to homeschool students. Email us at info@swflstemhomeschool.org for more information.
Intro to AI for Students
A hands-on introduction to artificial intelligence, built for the ways students already encounter it day to day. Students learn what AI is (and isn't), get hands-on with beginner-friendly AI tools, and practice writing clear prompts, all while talking through digital citizenship, ethics, and honest, responsible use in schoolwork. Offered as a 6-week course.
Test Prep & Evaluations
Standardized testing, state testing and assessment Learning Lab, achievement evaluations, and portfolio-ready documentation to satisfy Florida homeschool reporting, including the annual homeschool evaluation required for PEP participants, so your student is ready for what's next.
Homeschool Curriculum Learning Lab
Homeschooling at your student's pace. One-on-one planning sessions to pick, pace, and troubleshoot your at-home STEAM curriculum between class days, with hands-on Learning Lab for IXL, i-Ready, and Progress Learning.
Private Part-Time Tutoring
One-on-one tutoring in any subject for homeschool students and all students alike, including our Tinkercad program, reading, and writing lessons, scheduled around your student. Step Up For Students Direct Pay approved, so eligible scholarship funds apply straight to sessions.

Keyboarding & Handwriting Services
Keyboarding & Writing Package
Our combined enrichment package for keyboarding, reading, handwriting, and cursive, delivered in person, one-on-one, with positive, encouraging feedback plus practical tips and tricks along the way. The goal is to fill in reading gaps and build retention, spelling, and memory skills in a fun, supportive way, adapted to what your student is actually interested in. We recommend adaptive 3D-printed equipment (custom grips, guides, and writing aids), designed right in our Makers lab, to Learning Lab proper hand placement and writing function.
A student assessment is conducted to start, listed as a separate fee or bundled into tuition, at the parent's discretion. Package pricing is coming soon. Ask us at your tour.
Business & Financial Literacy Lab
Never too young to start working on their future career. Business-minded students, join our program and let us help your student level up. Where the tech world meets the business world. Students build real marketing and entrepreneurship skills: branding, pitching, pricing, then apply financial literacy to personal finance topics like budgeting, saving, banking basics, credit, and an introduction to taxes, alongside real business budgets and profit margins. Our Business Bundle courses also cover Photoshop and social media influencer tips and techniques, so students learn how to create and present themselves professionally online. Career Readiness Services are built right into the course, too: resume writing, critical thinking, and communication skills taught alongside the business curriculum.
Fine Art & Digital Media Studio
Studio technique meets the digital toolkit. Students build a foundation in pastels, painting, and mixed media, exploring color and composition hands-on, then extend it into 3D digital design, on-location field photography, and videography, shooting, directing, and editing their own short films. It's a true creative outlet: equal parts sketchbook and screen. Offered as a 6-week course.

Life Skills Studio
Real-world skills for independent living, taught in rotating 6-week blocks: garden-to-table growing (planning, planting, and harvesting a real garden bed), sewing and textile basics (hand-stitching up through simple machine-sewing projects), and hands-on cooking classes (kitchen safety, following a recipe, and cooking a full meal start to finish). Each block builds a skill students actually use, long after the six weeks are up.

SWFL STEM DAY SCHOOL is an enrichment-focused, personalized education provider built to give real help to the community. We opened because our own kids needed more than a co-op could offer once school got harder and they needed someone patient in their corner. Today we serve homeschool families across Lee County, including San Carlos Park, Estero, and Bonita Springs, with the same standard: certified instructors, small groups, and enrichment that's actually hands-on.

Owner & Lead Instructor · BSITM, MBA-HRM, MBABethany owns and personally teaches at SWFL STEM DAY SCHOOL (a DBA of Espring Computers). She holds a BS in Information Technology Management and dual MBAs in Human Resource Management and Business Administration, is Florida DOE-certified in Business Education (grades 6–12), and is background-approved through the FL Clearinghouse.
Questions homeschool parents ask us first
Both work. Many families use us as their full math and science curriculum; others add one or two programs alongside a curriculum they already love. We'll help you map it out at your tour.
Our enrichment programs are built for students in grades 6–8, and our private tutoring is offered for grades 6–12, for homeschool students and all students alike. Students are grouped by both grade band and skill level after a short placement conversation, not just birth year.
Eight students maximum per group, with one lead instructor. We cap enrollment and open a waitlist rather than add a ninth seat.
Yes: we provide annual homeschool evaluation services, including the annual evaluation required for PEP (Personalized Education Program) participants, plus standardized testing, that satisfy Florida homeschool documentation requirements, with a written report you can keep on file.
Yes: we partner with Step Up for Success to provide career training and guidance for learners of all abilities, alongside our regular STEAM programs.

Yes: we're a Step Up For Students Direct Pay provider. Scholarship funds currently apply to Art Lessons, Enrichment Courses, Marketing & Business Classes, and our Intro to 3D Printing course, and we also accept Step Up For Students funds for PEP (Personalized Education Program) evaluations and for students receiving Unique Abilities (UA) services. Advanced 3D design and software courses (like Fusion360 and advanced prototyping/modeling) are taught separately by 3DPosed's own designers for adult learners and are not covered under Step Up For Students; contact 3DPosed directly for those. Ask us during your tour which of our programs qualify for your family.
Step Up For Students Direct Pay for eligible scholarship participants, credit for scholarship reimbursement claims, and cash for students not enrolled in a homeschool program.
Our lab is in Fort Myers, FL, serving families across Lee and Collier counties, including San Carlos Park, Estero, and Bonita Springs. Our services are mobile, with the flexibility to meet in person at a location that works for your family, and we also offer virtual options for many of our programs.
Students need to bring a laptop or Chromebook for coursework; iPads and tablets aren't recommended. We don't provide food or drinks, so students are welcome to pack a lunch; our middle school cohort takes a lunch break from 12:15–12:45.
Please arrive on time to pick up your student. Parents come inside the lab to pick up their student, sign them out on paper, and notify the staff member on duty of their departure. Thank you for your patience as we streamline our dismissal procedures.
